Essay Topics - Character, Environment and The FountainheadThe five essay topics from The Fountainhead is essentially the same five topics that I cover in my five-part series of articles: origin, tragedy, philosophy, character and environment. They are critical to understanding the process by which the protagonist's ideas were finally filtered through his mind, which ultimately led to his ultimate decision to take control of his life and make his own choice at the end of the novel.
In addition to that, the first essay topics from The Fountainhead focuses on his journey into the black world of crime, criminality and corruption. From this point, he starts to explore aspects of his psyche that are potentially going to cause him to veer off course in making the right decisions for his life and his actions towards others. The second essay topics is about the foundation for the marriage of Eleanor Roosevelt with her husband, what he was like before his wife and their children, and what made him so unique as a man and a leader. It also talks about his years as an orphaned war veteran, the causes for his joining the army, his troubled childhood and his past relationships. Of course it also covers his experience as a hospital director and how he managed to break free of his mental and emotional shackles. The third essay topics explores Eleanor's decision to give up her career and to become a teacher, but even then there is the tragedy behind it. It also discusses the tragic events that take place during her life and what would have happened if she had lived. This topic also has to do with the story of her childhood, all through her adolescence and her young adulthood and how she started out with the wrong path and ended up in a different direction. The fourth essay topics to talk about the foundation of her character, how she has grown as a person and how she has gradually escaped from the character that she started out with at the beginning of the book. Then it covers her struggle with grief and her struggles in trying to handle her own losses, including her mother's death and her mother's homosexuality. The fifth essay of The Fountainhead is the one where we get to see the character's inner soul, what motivates him, and the stress that he faces as the result of his character and his inner conflict. It also provides insight into his mind and character, both internal and external factors. These are just the major themes that I think are most critical to understand how the novel came to be and how it ended up influencing many writers as well as influencing the way that many readers see the work of Henry Ford and the life of his character. Many writers also attribute these themes to the protagonist, often having these essays as a key to understanding how their own works came to be based on what he thought about when he was writing The Fountainhead.
